Hi! My name is Marta and I thank you for stopping by. I realize there are thousands of blogs in the blogosphere and so I sincerely appreciate you coming by. My hope is that maybe something I say can be an encouragement to you along your journey. I am a mother of three amazing daughters. Mother-in-law to two really special son-in-laws, and Nana to seven extraordinary grandchildren. Family is primary to my life. At the end of the day the reality is that there is always more to be grateful about then not. If our focus can daily remain on gratitude versus what we don’t have or wish we had it really makes a difference in our lives.
My life has been filled with many unexpected twists and turns. Joys and heartache. Failures and disappointments. Lessons, and an abundance of grace and mercy from a most loving God. There is a natural ebb and flow of life that can sometimes leave you filled with wonderment. I have spent many a nights asking the Lord about the grand mysteries of life that can often leave you puzzled.
“Man’s steps are ordained by the Lord, how then can man understand His way?” Proverbs 20:24
I remember as a little girl I was convinced that when you grow up everything turns out just fine. No sure where I got that; maybe from watching episodes of Leave It to Beaver and Father Knows Best. Wow! I’m really dating myself. But it didn’t take long as I grew up to discover that life doesn’t always come wrapped up in a beautifully decorated perfect box, and it certainly doesn’t always play out the way we may have envisioned or hoped for.
There is a beauty to be found in the whole tapestry of our lives. There is always hope and redemption to be found no matter what has happened. Like a miner mining for gold. Chipping away at what seems impossible but knowing that underneath there lies abounding treasures to be discovered. There is a richness to be tapped into and extracted from both the heartaches and joys of life.
No matter where we may find ourselves today. May we be facing forward. Determined to continue to move onward; even if it is one slow step at a time. But to continue to move forward with resolve and with great confidence in a God who takes everything in our lives and weaves great purpose. That looking back is only allowed if it enriches our moving forward.
I pray you know this day how loved and valuable you are to the God that created you. That whatever situation you may be facing God is mighty enough to carry you through it.
He is the way, the truth, and the life…John 14:6 nasb
